Bonnie's Bread Stuffing
Mom's five kids looked forward to holiday dinners when Mom would fix her bread stuffing.

- 1 cup oleomargarine
- 4 cup chopped celery
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 teaspoon sage
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning
- 9 cups soft bread cubes
- hot broth or water
Bonnie's Bread Stuffing Directions
- Melt butter (oleomargarine) in a large skillet. Add celery and onion and cook until tender but not brown. Stir occasionally. Combine with bread cubes, salt poultry seasoning, sage and pepper. Mix lightly. Add broth to moisten.
Mom didn't mention how to bake the stuffing. I assume she stuffed it in the turkey and baked as recommended by the turkey directions.
