Beet Greens


Beet greens have a delious flavor similar to kale and are colorful on the plate.

  • 1 bunch Beet Greens
  • 1 Tbsp(s) Olive Oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbsp(s) Onion, diced
  • 1/4 tsp(s) Red Pepper Flakes
  • 4 Lemon Wedges
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Beet Greens Directions

  1. Remove the stems and wash each leaf. Stack them and cut into 1 1/2" strips.
  2. Bring a pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add the beet greens and cook until tender, about 2 minutes. Drain in a colander and run cold water over them to stop the cooking.
  3. In a large skillet heat the olive oil on medium. Saute the garlic, onion and red pepper flakes. Cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add the greens and mix well. Heat only until warmed.
  4. Serve with lemon wedges
