1 Tbsp(s) Olive Oil
4 oz(s) Ground Pork
4 oz(s) Ground Beef
2 Tbsp(s) Butter
0.25 cup(s) Celery, sliced
0.25 cup(s) Green Pepper
0.5 cup(s) Onion, diced
2 tsp(s) Garlic, minced
1 leaves Bay Leaf
1 tsp(s) Thyme
1 tsp(s) Dry Mustard
0.5 tsp(s) Cayenne Pepper
0.5 tsp(s) Salt
0.5 tsp(s) Black Pepper
1 cup(s) Rice
2 cup(s) Pork Stock

Dirty Rice Directions

  1. Brown the beef and pork in the oil. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside. Pour out the drippings.
  2. Melt the butter and saute the onion, celery, green pepper and garlic. Add spices and cook 10 minutes.
  3. Return browned meat and add pork stock and rice. Lower the heat, cover and simmer 18 minutes.
